I recently took a watercolour class. Here are a couple of the best pieces I made during the class:
Watercolour is pretty different from the acrylic and oil painting I’ve done in the past, but you can get some really interesting results with it. It also goes really well with the ink drawings I’ve been doing, so I’m hoping to do a lot of images combining the two in the future.
Here are a few of my drawings I did for Inktober. It’s a challenge to do an ink drawing everyday in October. I didn’t end up doing one everyday, but it was a fun challenge anyway.
You can see some more of my Inktober drawings below.
I made this piece as a gift for some friends’ wedding, but didn’t get a chance to properly scan it, so I figured I’d just show some photos and write about the process that went into making it.
Here’s a drawing I did for a friend’s birthday. It’s Eddie (of Iron Maiden fame) as Darth Vader.
This is a concept sketch for a character in the graphic novel script (and a shorter comic) I’ve been working on.
Here’s a drawing I’ve been working on in my sketchbook. I’m planning on doing some more fantasy stuff in the future.
These are some images from Ben Schubert’s short film, Protocol 7B, that I acted in. It turned out looking really good. In the last image you can see the set that was built. It was playing at Gallery West in Toronto, I’ll update when it can be viewed elsewhere.
Here’s a photo of the image I designed for my brothers rickshaw team when he travelled across India. You can read about it in his article in the current issue of the Atlantic, or at their website.
